Mario J. Moya

MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, having studied part of his degree at the “Grande École d’ingénieurs de Paris – ENSTA” in addition to post-graduate courses in business from ENA, CESEDEN and ICEX-CECO.

Mario J. Moya is an International Business Developer with over a decade of experience in innovative projects both with Universities such as MIT and with blue-chip companies such as EADS and Indra. In addition, Moya has also adviced international organizations such as the European Commission and a number of European startups.

His professional activity has been always focused on the development of new businesses, building strategic alliances and effective synergies between technological enterprises. Moya regularly guest-lectures at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) and Bankinter Foundation for Innovation. He is a Managing Member of the Europe India Chamber of Commerce (EICC) and Vice President of MIT Enterprise Forum Spain

He performed his doctoral work at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), under the supervision of Prof. Jesús Jiménez-Barbero (President of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry; President of the International Carbohydrate Organization) and Prof. F. Javier Cañada (VP of the Spanish NMR-specialized group, GERMN). His thesis was awarded as the Best PhD thesis in the field of magnetic resonance defended in Spain.

He currently serves as Head of R&D and Innovation of Grupo Health Time, Spain’s 2nd largest company in the Medical Imaging industry. Prior to that, he performed international research activities at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (Germany, 1 year) and The Scripps Research Institute (La Jolla, U.S.A., 6 months).

In 2014, he co-founded Inncorporate, a business accelerator that has created more tan 25 companies in Spain. In 2016, he co-founded Adastra Ventures. Dr. Berbís is also active in Spain’s innovation and entrepreneurial spaces, mainly as:

  • Vice President of MIT Enterprise Forum Spain
  • General Manager of Health 2.0 Madrid
  • Mentor of Yuzz (Banco Santander’s startup accelerator program) and The Founder Institute
  • Member of the Faculty of Bankinter Foundation for Innovation, lecturing on Personalized Medicine and Pharma in Spain’s top universities such as ICADE, Deusto, CUNEF, TECNUN, Francisco de Vitoria, ESIC, Loyola Andalucía, Pompeu Fabra and U. Politécnica de Valencia.

His main goal is to provide an important contribution to the challenges facing businesses in the 21st century, leading financial and strategic commitment for growth.

Iñigo Cortaire´s experience is connected to managerial positions in the Financial department of various companies. In 2006, he joined the Young Business Association (AJE) in Navarre as the General Manager, where he developed expertise in Start-up growth and strategic planning of SMEs.

While working with AJE he developed diverse support programs for SMEs and provided consultancy to more than 1.400 companies. In 2014 he co-founded Inncorporate, a business accelerator that launched more than 25 companies and was awarded ¨The Best Program Against Youth Unemployment in Spain¨ by the Botín Foundation.

In 2016, he co-founded Adastra Ventures, a strategic consulting firm based in Madrid (Spain), focused on innovation, diversification, cooperation and business growth.

Iñigo Cortaire is also active in the Spanish business environment, mainly as:
